Accommodations for COVID-19

We value the health of our homeschoolers, teachers, family members, and our community. Educating and forming our children, while keeping them safe, is of the utmost importance. Among the uncertainty of the current global pandemic, we have several plans in place to continue giving our children their much needed education and Catholic formation. Accommodations are listed below, and we will adjust to remain obedient to Church authorities as well as local authorities. We will continue to follow CDC guidance on mask wearing, social distancing, and sanitation.

Onsite Education and Formation
  • All members of the co-op will be required to wear a face mask following CDC guidelines for mask wearing (babies and toddlers are exempt) and local authority.

  • Children will be instructed to wash hands frequently.

  • Children will be required to bring their own water bottles instead of using the drinking fountain.

  • All members must maintain a distance of at least 6 feet at all times.

  • If a child or family member is sick, the student will still be able to participate in class safely via zoom.

  • Children will remain in their class group at all times.

  • Every Thursday, the parent will sign a self monitoring COVID-19 report.

Online Only Education and Formation

  • Should local authorities revert back to previous stay-at-home orders, education and formation will continue online via zoom. This will include our morning meditation and classes.

Combination of Onsite and Online

  • If meeting at St. Lawrence for classes is not possible, but daily masses are still being held, the co-op will meet for morning meditation at St. Lawrence, and then gather for mass on the scheduled class day.

  • All in person activities will require wearing a mask and social distancing.

  • Following meditation and mass, all families will return to their respective homes and continue with classes online via zoom.

Extracurricular Activities

  • All extracurricular activities will be handled in a case-by-case manner, and necessary accommodations will be made.
